When it comes to pharmacy many of us simply think of accidents, casualties, cold and cough, etc. Did you ever think if medicine can transform the world? Do we even know the true potential of the field of medicine?
Well, I was just thinking if neuroscience could transform the world we live in.
I think that it can. If we can make artificial hearts and even artificial limbs, then I think it is comparatively as simple to be able to make ones brain work five times faster. There are many advantages of this medicine.
If our brain starts working five times faster, each school period would last just 10 minutes because we would've understood the concepts which would otherwise have taken an hour. This way school will last just about one and a half hours. We will have lots of fun and playtime which will help us even remain fit. We can even pursue any extra-curricular studies in the extra time if we wish to.
Sometimes when we want to research about something on the internet, we get huge Wikipedia pages with loads of information. What use is it of if our brain cannot afford read it within time. If our brain is five times faster why give up on such opportunities to gain extra knowledge?
Most importantly, making a decision within split-seconds. May not sound as important, but not having this capability could be fatal. Why do plane crashes, train derailings, and car crashes happen? 90% of them happen due to not being able to choose the landing runway quickly, not able to choose the track shifts quickly, and not being able to choose between the accelerator, brake or clutch just as quickly. The small decisions cannot be delayed by even a single second. Such accidents can be prevented using this medicine.
This medicine would be one which could prove to be really valuable if used for the right purposes.
OK, hold on, everything has a negative side of its own, whether it is a MacBook or just about anything else. For instance, nuclear energy is extremely useful when we use it for generating massive amounts of electricity, while on the other hand it could be used for making really destructive bombs. The same way, this medicine can be used by thieves too. If they once used to plan for 5 days for one theft, now they can plan for one per day. This medicine can be used for doping, by athletes to fasten their reflexes. This is not that big a problem, because we will try to come up with temporary and permanent effect nullifying medicines, just in case the need arises.
We will ensure that this medicine will not do any harm to your body. We will let the leading world scientists to test its safety and only then put it up for sale.
I would be really obliged to get any such medicine in reality. I am sure the invention of such a medicine will be a crucial turning point in the world's history. This creation deserves simply more than respect, and I hope such a day will come soon.
Thank You.
